A visit to the Sky Rover factory

In April of this year, I had the privilege of visiting the Sky Rover factory, situated in Kunming, the capital of Yunnan province in China, renowned for its ideal spring-like climate throughout the year.

I saw the assembly of many of their telescope models in clean rooms. Many of the big binocular telescopes were assembled and ready to be tested and adjusted.

Production of the new Banner Cloud APO binoculars was occuring during my visit. Every binocular made is put through a vibration test and the collimation adjusted and checked many times before being shipped out. I was shown how to adjust the collimation on one of their collimators.

I had a great time. Thank you to the great Sky Rover team who looked after me and allowed me to tour the factory.
